Episode description: Jake is an unfulfilled lawyer who one day has an epiphany. He decides to chuck it all and become a teacher, so he can finally make a difference in the world. This is terrible news to his best friend-roommate-law firm co-worker, Nick, who doesn't understand how Jake could want to throw away their cushy life. He's also a bit jealous that his buddy no longer is at his beckon call. Once he succeeds in landing a teaching job, Jake meets Liza, a beautiful, but slightly burnt-out teacher, who needs Jake's enthusiasm to get her own love for what she does re-ignited. Jake faces many challenges in his new job. Aside from connecting with students, he has to deal with his less than receptive vice principal, Mrs. Curtis, and her clueless, slacker secretary, Kimmy. That's not to mention his fellow teachers like goof-ball Ceissner, who cares more about scoring with his jokes, than he does about the kids in his class. Jake's got a lot to learn as he strives to be a good teacher, and Nick's going to delight in telling us all the mistakes he makes along the way.
