The oldest art school in the country, the Academy continues to be a hothouse for some of America's most promising new artists. At the Pennsylvania Convention Center, experts unveil more masterworks, including a pair of paintings by noted Hudson River School artist John F. Kensett, bought at a yard sale for $35, a dazzling three-carat, Asscher cut, yellow diamond ring, and a trio of autographed baseballs featuring signatures from the 1944 St. Louis Cardinals, Ted Williams in his 1939 rookie season, and an authenticated autograph from Babe Ruth himself in the late 1940s. Together, this triple play wins an auction estimate of $34,000 to $46,000.
