Episode description: Kuzco Academy is broke and in danger of being shut down, much to Yzma's delight. The kids decide to put on a musical to save the school, and they get teen idol Dirk Brock (voiced by Joey Lawrence) to star in it. This makes Kuzco just a little jealous, especially when he learns that Dirk will get to kiss Malina in the final number. For once Yzma and Kuzco are in agreement: Dirk must be stopped.
