     Dog and the crew are headed to Denver today to help their old bondmen buddies, Dave "Red" Widhelm and "Downtown" Bobby Brown. First up is Red, Dog's friend of forty years. Red has a client named Alvin who failed to appear on a $20,000 bond with charges of Drug Possession and Distribution pending. His ex-girlfriend sends the team to an apartment complex.  Dog sends Lyssa to the door to act as bait, but she discovers that they have been led to the wrong apartment.  So the team canvasses the complex to find the right pad. With the help of a few neighbors they find the right place and Lyssa lures Alvin out for a safe and speedy bust. With Alvin headed to jail, the team drives down to help Bobby Brown who's got a client named Craig who has failed to appear for a list of traffic offenses worth almost $70,000.  The plan is to bust Craig at the auto body shop where he works, but on the way there Bobby's informant calls to say that Craig has just left.  So the crew heads over to Craig's house.  When Craig pulls in the team grabs him in the parking lot just as his father appears to be trying to tip him off. But when Craig is in custody and his father hears about the trouble his son is in, he joins Dog in showing some Craig some tough love.  Both men hope that Craig can change his ways. Details

     Dog is back hunting in the big city of Denver, but times have changed. Chasing fugitives on the mainland is more dangerous than ever, so Dog decides that the crew should get pepper-ball guns for better personal protection.  These non-lethal launchers shoot pellets that release pepper based powder and have much better range than pepper spray.  Newly equipped Dog and his crew aren't afraid to go after a tough guy like Clyde, a client of their Denver bondsman friend Bobby Brown. But Clyde is not an easy catch.  They go to Clyde's father's house, his likely hangouts and an apartment complex where he was known to live. Finally, they end up at the house of a friend of Clyde's who, it turns out, Duane Lee knows from when he used to work in construction. Eventually the team gets a tip -  Clyde is hiding that night in a trailer in the Black Forest, a large woods southeast of Denver. Details

     On the Chinese calendar it's the year of the Dog, and Dog and Beth have been invited to ride in the annual Chinese New Year's Day parade.  It's a joyous event, complete with dancing dragons and cheering crowds.  But as soon as the parade is over, Dog's got a fugitive to catch. Ginger is only 18 years old and her mother thinks she is selling drugs and running wild, so she wants to revoke her daughter's bond.  After a spirited chase and capture, Dog and Beth learn that Ginger is as smart as she is tough, and they counsel her to follow her dream of becoming a social worker.  The next case is also one where the mother is important.  Brandon's mom thinks that he'll be safer in jail than out on the streets - he's lost over 100 lbs because of his ice habit and so his mom has told Dog and Beth that she wants to revoke his bond.  With the help of a loving grandma and auntie, the case becomes more of an intervention than a bust.  And Dog does his best to try to convince Brandon to go to rehab before his ice addiction turns into a death sentence.      As Dog likes to say, "it's not the years it's the miles," and this goes for both men and machines. Those long hunts and the rides to jail take a toll not only on Dog but also on his vehicles. So he decides it's time to outfit the Da Kine crew with new SUVs. After a quick visit to their local dealership Duane and Beth emerge behind the wheels of two wicked whips, brand new top-of-the line SUVs. They also leave with a new mission, to break-in the new cars by the end of the day in by giving the fugitive "a smooth ride to a hard place." Their target is Jasmine, a woman whose criminal record includes over 37 arrests for everything from drug promotion to assault. She has disappeared without a trace and Dog will need every trick in his book to track her down. As the day draws to a close and Jasmine is still on the loose Dog turns to a ruse that is, as he says, " so old it's new." And after all that work, the ride to the jail is indeed a smooth one.      It's been raining for days and the team is going a little stir crazy. Dog however has the cure- a good hunt. Maui has failed to appear on a drug charge and the team has just one lead. A call to a Maui's boyfriend in jail provides a tip that takes Dog on a race through the parts of Honolulu that tourist rarely see. After tracking her through rundown pool halls, deserted car lots and neglected apartments, they catch a hot address and nab her at the home of a friend. The trail has been a hard one but it did provide the antidote for the team's a bad case of cabin fever. Details

Dog learns from her husband, Raymond, that she's flown to her native Philippines. Dog is satisfied only after Raymond swears that he will get his wife to go to court. Stephanie is a harder case. Her charge is car theft and she has a history of burglary and drug use. An informant points out where Stephanie lives and Dog catches her by surprise. The ride to jail is emotional: Stephanie knows she's headed down the wrong road. Dog offers to do what he can to help. A day later in Vegas, Dog gives a rousing speech to the PBUS. Details

     Dog, Beth and the posse are off to the Big Island for their wedding. Dog and Beth hope to relax for a few days and take care of final details before the wedding but it turns out Leland has a fugitive he needs to capture - and despite the limited time, Dog nor Beth can resist the opportunity to bring a fugitive to justice. From the patio of their Bridal suite, Dog phones the fugitive, Aiden, and gives him a chance to do the right thing by calling the court and making a date to appear before the judge. But Aiden doesn't call the court. So despite the stress caused by final dress fittings, meetings with their preacher and solving a wedding ring disaster, Dog and the team hunt Aiden who is definitely running - hard. Now it is the day before the wedding, and just two hours before the big rehearsal and dinner, Leland gets a hot tip from an informant. So despite Beth's protests, Dog and the boys go out and grab Aiden, and Dog just makes it to his rehearsal. The next morning, on what should be the most joyful day of Dog and Beth's life together, tragedy strikes. Dog learns that his eldest daughter, Barbara, has been killed in a horrific car accident hours earlier. Dog is bereft - family means everything to him.  He and Beth talk to their preacher about whether or not to go on with the wedding. So, in the face of death, Dog and Beth decide they must choose life. The hunt resumes the next day, Valentine's Day, and in honor of love, Dog calls Tapi and offers to go easy on her if she turns herself in. The team begins their hunt with just a photograph and his father's address. The dad gives Dog some clues for the hunt, but the information is sketchy. With day turning to night, Dog approaches the alleged victim and ex-girlfriend, Natasha, for assistance. She is happy to help and agrees to set up a meeting with him where Dog could trap him.      What a mess! Dog and Beth's former housekeeper, Lisa, has just jumped bond, and Dog hates having to capture friends.      It's Christmas in Hawaii, but Dog knows that crime doesn't stop for the holidays.  Case in point: Raymond, or as the cops call him, "The Christmas Burglar" who robs to support his Ice habit. Dog starts to track Raymond by calling his mother, Lucille. Through her tears, she suggests they look for him in Waikiki.  The team heads out to give Raymond a little Christmas gift - shiny new handcuffs.  They work the streets of Waikiki but come up empty. Next, Raymond's mother suggests Chinatown. Almost immediately they start to pick up Raymond's scent. In fact, a passerby tells them that Raymond is sleeping on a bench up the street.  The team races to a local park and manages to sneak up unnoticed but it's not their man. The next morning Wesley, Dog's office manager, gets a call.  It's Raymond.  He's coming to turn himself in.  Tim, Leland and Duane Lee cuff the fugitive, high on Ice again and carrying drugs.  When Dog arrives he tells Raymond that the only thing that will help at this point is for Raymond to go to jail. Dog feels it's the best way for him to learn that doing drugs will only mean more hard time.  Raymond apologizes and hopes that he did not ruin their Christmas. In turn Dog tells Raymond that the best present would be to get a call next year that he has turned his life around. Details

     Beth and Baby Lyssa are out trying to buy shirts for Dog, but finding a shirt he will like can be harder than capturing a fugitive.  After looking at dozens of shirts, one with an embroidered chicken that looks vaguely like a dragon catches Beth's eye.  At home she tries to sell her wares to Dog but his keen eye discerns that a chicken ain't no dragon, and besides he explains that he will only wear shirts with one of two pictures on them, Jesus or a Harley Davidson. Once he gets to work, the fugitive of the day is  a woman named Necia.  She has a number of felony charges pending and a history of failing to appear in court.  This makes both Dog and Beth worried that she is going to be a serious runner, but they disagree about how to catch her.  Dog thinks they should try to trick her into the office and Beth wants to go out and catch her by surprise.  To help them make a decision, Dog tells his secretary "T" to call Necia but "T" slips-up and reveals to Necia that Dog knows she missed court.  Now Dog knows that he has no choice but to rush out and grab her. The team surrounds Necia's house and when she emerges she is full of excuses about why she missed court.  Beth is skeptical, but when Necia's ten-year old daughter comes out for a tearful goodbye, Beth starts to feel for her client's situation.  Dog asks Beth to ride with Necia to jail and by the time they arrive Beth is ready to compromise about showing their captive compassion.      Dog is sick as a dog today, and his sons are afraid they'll catch his cold.  In fact Duane Lee's family is in town for a visit so he's being extra cautious about getting sick.   But a little illness won't stop the hunt.  James has jumped his bond and the word on the street is that he's bragging there's no way the Dog can catch him.  However, Dog has  a lead  - James might be hiding out at his girlfriend's apartment.  As the team straps-up, Duane Lee schemes with Beth to avoid riding with his coughing dad. This forces Leland, the family hypochondriac to saddle up with Dog  - much to the amusement of everyone else.  After some germ spreading high jinx on the drive over, the team gets to the apartment and it's time to get serious.  There they find James' girlfriend is home.  At first she tries to cover for James but then let's Dog in.  Dog surprises James in his own bedroom and leads him away in cuffs. On the way to jail, Dog finds that the reason James missed court was in an effort to protect his girlfriend from her ex-boyfriend.  James also explains that a conviction 15 years ago has led to a chain of legal trouble and ex-con discrimination that has left him utterly disheartened.  A sympathetic Dog encourages James to persevere. Once James is booked in, Dog heads for home and the best kind of cold remedy there is: some TLC from Beth. Details

     Baby Lyssa is a big girl now!   She's just turned eighteen and she's studying to become a bondsman.  But Dog and Beth think that "you can't get `em out if you don't know how to put `em back in."  So that means going to work with Dad and the posse.  Her training gets off to a rocky start though when Beth must first approve Lyssa's wardrobe. Lyssa's primary concern is looking pretty, but Beth's experience tells her that the novice must dress appropriately and this includes wearing sensible shoes. It takes Lyssa three tries before she passes muster and is allowed to join the hunt. Dog's quarry today is named Wayne, who has run out on a bond for 2nd degree assault.  The hunt begins with a call to Wayne's former friend who claims to have a hot address. With Lyssa in tow they pile into the cars and head out to meet the informant who guides them to a house where a long stakeout begins.  Here Lyssa learns the lesson of patience - at least until Dog decides they have waited long enough and orders the team to hit the house. It's a good thing they do because they discover that the owner kicked Wayne out months ago and then gives the team a new address. It is at the new address and with night falling that the team, guided by a helpful neighbor closes in on the fugitive. Details

She wants to revoke his bail and put him back in jail. Compounding the problem is the fact that Paz has allegedly been using ice and may even be cooking up more at the family's house.  Dog doesn't want his boy to face this threat on his own, so the team heads over to lend Leland some extra muscle. But before the team leaves Beth reminds Dog that it is important he hurry home so he can to keep another of the day's obligations.  A young woman who is dying has as one of her final wishes asked Dog to visit her and today is the day Dog promised to see her. So when they get a lead that Freddy is sleeping in his car they spring into action in the hope of catching him napping. As the team silently approaches his car, Dog slowly opens the driver's side door. It is the click on the cuffs around his wrists that rouses Freddy from his slumber and into a violent confrontation with the team.      Dog is trying desperately to stop smoking... or at least cut down. But unfortunately stress is the number one reason Dog lights up and bounty hunting isn't exactly stress free. Today, Dog is going after Walter who has robbery charges, is an ex-weight lifter and an alleged Ice addict. So Dog is concerned that Walter may be thinking he is a good fighter.  Dog gets a hot tip and quickly finds Walter at a nearby park. But it turns out that Walter has other things on his mind. He believes that the Canadian military has planted a chip in his tooth that allows him to communicate with his van, which is just an old jalopy. And on the ride to the jail Walter has some unusual advice for Dog about how to quit smoking. And it isn't easy for Dog, at the jail Beth catches on to Dog's tricks for hiding the number of cigarettes he's smoking - and has to remind him again to cut down. The next day, Beth is too sick to go hunting so Tim will be the cigarette monitor. Dog and his team head to a local beach park to track down Tammy who is allegedly selling drugs while on bond, a definite no-no. After some searching, Dog decides they should head home and try again tomorrow. Just as they're about to leave Tammy drives past them and they bust her. Dog and Tammy talk a lot about her addiction to Ice. Dog's final words to Tammy are that for her own sake, and the sake of those around her, she's got to get off the drugs. And Tim points out that while Dog makes his anti-drug speech he's seems to be talking to himself about his own need to quit cigarettes as well. Details

     For Beth, today's case sparks a poignant memory that will remind her of the redemptive power a second chance can have, and how it changed her life. The morning begins in the usual way,  Beth  is busy readying her brood for another day. Between  serving the younger kids their breakfast and assigning Cecily her morning chores Beth talks about the motherhood.  Her concern of late is with Cecily, who is moving into her teen years. Beth wants to help her daughter avoid the mistakes that she made as a young woman.  Ehen Beth arrives at the office she finds Dog on the phone. He's talking with the mother of twenty-five year old Rachel, and grandmother  to Rachel's nine year old daughter. The mom tells Dog that she bailed Rachel out of jail on the condition that Rachel conform to a strict regimen that includes AA meetings and a curfew, but that Rachel is not keeping with the program.  And now the mom has made the painful decision to revoke her bond and send her daughter back to jail. Ironically Rachel is lured out of the house by Duane Lee posing as a delivery man with a bouquet of flowers for Mother's Day. As they drive to jail Beth tries to reach out to  the young woman by telling Rachel her  own story of youthful run-ins with the law.  And Dog sees a mirror image of Beth in her early days in Rachel.  After escorting Rachel to jail, Beth goes to pick-up Cecily from her horseback riding lesson. As she drives Beth reflects on how blessed she is to have  Cecily and the other kids. For Beth, Cecily, Bonnie, and Gary are more then just her children, they are her second chance to be a good mother and to heal a painful wound. She then tells the difficult story of how as a young woman she made the heartbreaking decision to put her first child up for adoption. It was that terrible loss that caused Beth to turn her life around.  Beth's hope is that Rachel will use her loses of freedom today as the motivation to change her life. Details

     In Denver Colorado Kandice, AKA Candy, AKA Suga, has been a bad girl. However,  just as they sets up this case,  some other bail bonding friends of Dog and Beth's, Gary and Julie, show up at the office. They've heard Dog is in town,  and they need to quickly capture a potentially violent fugitive named Nestor.  They know exactly where Nestor is and they are hoping Dog adn the team will take a moment to grab the guy. Dog decides to help and as fast as you can say "fugitive from the law" Nestor is in custody and on his way to jail. The next day, still looking for Suga, Dog convinces one of her friends to set her up. The plan is for the informant to meet Suga in a supermarket parking lot and for Dog to swoop in and bust her. The plan goes off without a hitch and just in the nick of time, as it turns out Suga was planning on running for Florida the very next day. And on the ride back to their office, Dog and Beth take a shine to this spit of a girl from Texas and it's with great reluctance that they hand her over to Bobby when he comes to collect her and take her to jail.      When Dog talks about bounty hunting he always says,  if it wasn't hard, it wouldn't be fun," and while this case has the hard part down solid, today's search isn't offering the team a lot of laughs.  Their target,  Jonah Ramos, is a violent and desperate man.  Found guilty of first-degree assault, he violated his parole by refusing to attend anger management classes, and then pulled a no-show on the day of his sentencing.  No one has heard from him since. Dog thinks he knows why Ramos took a powder. His new conviction could land him in the slammer for twenty years.  This is the kind of offender Dog loves to bring down. After working every number on the Jonah's bail application leaves the team with nothing but disconnected phones and unanswered questions Dog decides to step it up. Armed with address for both the homes and the workplaces of Jonah's two co-signers the team hits the streets looking for leads.  This tactic  leads only to evasive  family members, an angry girlfriend, and frustration for the crew.  But Dog knows that showing up at a co-signer's job always provokes a reaction, so that's the next move.  It pays off; within 30 minutes Dog's cell phone is ringing with his first solid lead. It turns out that Jonah has a second girlfriend who is pregnant with his fifth child. By the end of the night the boys have a hot address and a solid plan for taking Ramos down which leads to a fast capture. Details

As Dog feared they would,  the locals in Marino's town watch their every move, from a supermarket where Marino was reported to be shopping to the street on which he lives. The up side to small towns is that news travels fast so when Marino hears that Dog is looking for him, to avoid trouble, he turns himself in. Dog is impressed that Marino handled the situation so maturely and the two have a good heartfelt talk on the way to jail. Details

     Dog's feeling lucky today so he's going try to capture two women in one day!  Both are kind of wild in different ways, Moani has "crazy" tattooed on the back of her neck and is facing drug promotion charges. The other, Jade, is facing theft charges.  But Dog thinks they should both be in the same neighborhood, so he's going to go for it.  The team catches its first lead from Moani's sister-in-law and ex-husband, and after a thrilling foot chase they catch her at a beach pavillion.  As they drive away Moani sadly tells Dog there is "no hope" for her to quit her drug addiction, and Dog seem unable to convince her that there is. But the road to jail passes by the location of the best lead they have for Jade (her sister's house), so they keep Moani with them as they begin the hunt for Jade.  Although the sister can't help them, an informant calls with a tip that Jade is in a nearby apartment.  Moani guides the team there, but no one is home.  But Moani must get to jail, so Dog sends Tim and Duane Lee take her there.  The rest of the team blankets the area with wanted posters and questions to make it "too hot"  for Jade wherever she might go, including a second visit to the sister's house.  This time the sister has had enough and promises to get Jade to turn herself in.  Although Dog didn't get both of his targets by the end of day he feels confident that Jade too will be in custody tomorrow.  When the team gathers in the office the next day Dog informs them that Jade had called him in the middle of the night and volunteered to surrender the next day at a local restaurant.  She is true to her word, but as they head to jail she is remorseless about her life of crime and drug abuse.  Dog laments that both of the women on this hunt are see no end to their life of crime, but takes comfort in knowing that the team has made the streets a little safer.      Nunu is a tough guy. He spent 5 years of a 5 year sentence in jail for assault with a weapon and he's not going to go easily. His stepfather guaranteed his bail, but Nunu has been acting up lately and the stepfather wants off. That means this is a revocation, something Dog and Beth don't love doing. But if his family says Nunu is out of control, there's nothing to be done but pick him up. After a long drive to his neighborhood, Dog gets a good lead a local recreation center. When they arrive Tim spots a guy that fits Nunu's description. Tim shouts but the suspect bolts so quickly he leaves his "slippers" (the Hawaiian term for flip flop sandals) behind. The chase is on and what Beth calls a huge grown up game of hide and seek plays out throughout a number of apartment complexes and strip mall shopping areas. The whole neighborhood is helping Dog on this hunt. But just as the sun is setting, Leland's boxing coach, Sonny Westbrook, who is helping on this case, finds someone who could be the fugitive. Dog confirms it's Nunu and they take the young man into custody. As expected, Nunu is a spitfire and argues with Dog and Tim all the way to the jail.      This case begins with the arrival at the Da Kine Bail Bonds office of Chantal and her four-month old baby. Chantal named her baby Destiny Love so the child will always remember that she is loved. The situation the with baby's father, Jonaven, is a little different.  Jonaven is out on bail awaiting sentencing, but Chantal wants to revoke his bail. It seems that once she helped him out of jail he resumed his drug habit and left his young family for another woman. Dog, moved by her baby and her plight, wants to give Jonaven one last chance if he promises to straighten up.   But then Dog gets other information that he's running with a dangerous crowd. And when Dog reaches Jonaven on the phone, he doesn't like what he hears -  it seems that Jonaven doesn't know his own child's middle name.  So Dog realizes that he must bring Jonaven in.  After catching the fugitive in a sting, they learn in a teary heart-to-heart that Jonaven not only faces a ten year sentence, but that his father killed in a shoot out with the police when Jonaven was only 9 years old.  Dog then realizes that he knew the boy's father, and pleads with Jonaven to chose a different path. The boys start the day bragging that they will show Dog and Beth how to hunt bounty and at first it appears they may be right. Finally, there's a break when Leland gets a call from Emmanuel. With Dog also on the line they discover that the solution will have to involve one of the team hiding in the parent's house, Emmanuel's sisters and brothers and a long conversation between Dog and the fugitive's lawyer. This is especially true for today's bounty Joseph. Weighting over 200lbs and standing over six feet tall, this bust could turn ugly fast. Before they set out they all say a prayer, including Garry. When the team climbs into their cars they find the pint-sized bounty hunter hiding inside. Garry's participation in this bounty is resolved when his Uncle Duane Lee takes him kicking and screaming back into the house. The crew has a stop to make before they get down to business; they've volunteered to visit a local high school to give a lecture about the dangers of drugs.  Their message is simple, using drugs leads to jail, and jail is a place you never want to be. Later, using deception and guile they get the address of Joseph's house, and after a phone call confirms that he's there, they head out.  Unfortunately, what they soon learn is that, where they are in Hawaii, roads are rarely marked and few houses are numbered. He also reassures Clifford. Referring to himself and his team he says: "You've got four brothers right here. You're not alone."      The Chapman family starts its day with Beth buying groceries while Dog and Leland workout at he gym. They say it's important to stay fit because many of their fugitives are high on drugs and sometimes it requires "super human strength" to bring them down. Later at the office, the team discovers that their first case of the day is Donald, AKA "Bosco" whom they've arrested before. Dog warns the crew to beware of Bosco because he's addicted to Ice (methamphetamine), very intelligent and a "professional convict." Dog and his gang spend the day canvassing Bosco's haunts, including the cheap hotels where he's known to stay. Unfortunately, the day ends with few leads. The next day brings great news: the canvassing paid off. A young man named Ryan recognized Bosco from one of Dog's wanted posters. Ryan agrees to help trick Bosco into an ambush. The bust goes as planned but to their surprise the team discovers Bosco is off Ice and settling in to a normal life with a new girlfriend. Not only that but he's a really nice, funny guy.
