Starsky offers her his $1,000 savings to leave town, but Gillian refuses, announcing that she will quit the rackets for Hutch. Starsky reluctantly agrees to give her more time.      Business is booming as Huggy and a former sheriff from their own private detective agency in "Huggy Bear and the Turkey." Huggy Bear and J.D. Turquet become super-sleuths, "Brown and Turquet." In no time they learn that the man in question and two cohorts robbed a local gang boss of $300,000 and then the missing man apparently absconded with all three shares of the loot! The pilot thickens and Huggy and Turquet find themselves caught between the robber accomplices looking for their double crossing partner and the gang they all robbed in the first place. Each threatens to kill the fledg-ling private detectives if they don't find the man. To make matters worse, Huggy learns that the missing man's wife may be in cahoots with a member of the victim-gang and, together, they may have already killed him. Details

They are subsequently assigned to Ferguson's command and learn that he has received information about an impending holdup. Further unexplained tips to Ferguson lead them to a hideout, but in a shootout, Iron Mike is fatally wounded. Before he dies, he gives Starsky and Hutch a little black book that helps to explain how he had compiled his impressive arrest record and provides information that puts them on the trail of Coyle. Starsky and Hutch suspect a smuggling operation aboard the luxury liner and persuade a reluctant Captain LaRue to let them on board as undercover recreation staffers "Hack" and "Zack." Plastic explosives are switched for a small special effects smoke device and a bit player is killed on a movie set. Starsky and Hutch enter the case as stuntmen on the film. They are subjected to every possible humi-liation, (real fights and repeated beers in the face), before they discover a former movie funnyman, long thought dead, as a possible suspect. The man, whose career failed years before, dons costumes and makeup disguises to prowl the lot -- killing those he feels thwarted his shot at stardom.      Starsky and Hutch arrest two hoodlums for the rape of a retarded 19-year-old friend of the detectives only to have the case dropped in the "Nightmare." Lisa Graham, a nineteen-year-old with the mental capabilities of a child of ten, is brutally assaulted and raped. Starsky and Hutch, friends of Lisa's late father, were on their way to Lisa's birthday party at the time, and are able to swiftly arrest the r****ts and his cohort. However, at police headquarters, an ambitious assistant district attorney has the hoods immediately released on bail and plans a defense on the contention that Lisa invited the incident which took place in an out of service city bus. In a pre-trial hearing, the assistant district attorney gets the judge to consider dropping, the case for insufficient evidence. Details

     A man whose son was killed in prison returns to get Dave Starsky for sending him there -- as "Starsky's Lady." George Prudholm returns (from earlier episodes) to avenge his son's death by killing people Starsky loves and, ultimately, Starsky himself. Prudholm sets the two up -- causing them to kill a nineteen year old robber. He rigs a shotgun to kill Hutch and, in his most bizarre attempt to date, shoots Starsky's girlfriend. The bullet lodges in her brain and, while released from the hospital, she is told that it is only a matter of time until the fragment moves. It does and she dies. Details

     A sleazy racketeer, realizing that Hutch's testimony will send him to prison, hires a hit man to eliminate Hutch by forcing his car to crash in a canyon on "Starsky and Hutch." The episode marks David Soul's television directorial debut. In "Survival," Hutch sets himself up as the payoff man between mobster Vic Humphries and an Eastern syndicate in a hot car deal. At the rendezvous, Humphries double crosses Hutch and plans to kill him, but Starsky and the police arrive to arrest the racketeer. Humphies' lawyer posts his bail but they realize Hutch's testimony will convict the mobster. In desperation, Humphries hires a hit man who uses his own car as a battering ram to send Hutch's car crashing to the canyon floor where Hutch is left for dead. Details

     A police death squad executes criminals who have received lenient court de-cisions in "The Committee." Starsky and Hutch capture a r****t but lose the chase to get his partner. They are surprised to see that the captured man is terrified that he will be shot instead of simply arrested. At the police station, a slick lawyer gets the criminal released on bail and Starsky is incensed. The released man's fears of being shot are somewhat justified when his partner on the loose is found executed in ritualistic gang-style. Once the police are suspected of the killing, Starsky is assigned to investigate undercover. Pretending to be furious over another early release -on bail, he gets into an argument with Hutch, slugs him and is suspended from the force. Details

     An alcoholic with extra-sensory powers leads police to a kidnapping and murder as "The Psychic." The daughter of a wealthy baseball team owner is kidnapped. Starsky and Hutch follow a tip from Joe Callandra, a drunk with psychic powers, and discover a seemingly unrelated murder. The tipster's predictions prove to be accurate and the corpse is linked to the kidnapping. In following the kidnapper's instructions, Hutch is substituted for the missing girl's father during the money drop. Unfortunately, the kidnappers are killed in a gun battle -- before they re-veal the whereabouts of their victim. The liquor-soaked psychic is the only person who might be able to locate the girl before she is smelted in a blast furnace with a ton of scrap metal. Details

     In the bank film, Hutch notices a man's cigarette burning too fast. Rea-lizing that some footage has been removed and wondering also about the non-existent FBI agent who directed their witness into assassin Nash's path, Starsky and Hutch know that their confessed killer was, at least, not responsible for his actions. They know that somebody wanted their state's witness out of the way or they wouldn't have been assigned to protect him in the first place. The next step is easy -- it is obvious that Terry Nash has been set up. They soon learn that the culprits are administering post hypnotic suggestion to innocent citizens like Nash - giving them reason to want revenge, instructing them to do the killing and then suggesting that they resist police so they, themselves will be killed. No sooner do they make the discovery than another well meaning citizen tries to kill them! Details

     Dave Starsky and Ken Hutchinson, under suspicion of having shot an innocent bystander, the wife of a government agent, find that their lives are in danger in "The Specialist."' Janice Drew, wife of secret government agent Alexander Drew, is shot and killed during a shootout between the police and jewelry store robbers. Starsky, Hutch and two uniformed officers could have fired the fatal shot and her husband believes that the shooting was intentional. Using his skills as an assassin, he begins to liquidate each of the officers. The first two uniformed cops are quickly eliminated with bombs and poison. Drew then trains a rifle scope on his last two victims -- Starsky and Hutch. Details

     An illegal alien, who witnesses a murder, refuses to cooperate with police for fear of deportation, as "The Velvet Jungle." A Mexican girl threatens to expose the illegal activities of the local chief of the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service, and she is soon murdered. Her roommate witnesses the killing, but can't go to police for fear of being deported. Starsky and Hutch corner one of the killers; but the government official arrives on the scene and shoots his cohort before their eyes -- claiming he actually saved their lives. In an attempt to catch the immigration official in a criminal act, Starsky and Hutch send a Latin policeman to his office in the guise of a crooked copy who wants a part of the illegal action. The time and place for the payoff is set in the city park where Starsky and Hutch are stationed in dis-guise - Hutch, in whiteface, as a mime, and Starsky, thrilling the kids, as Charlie Chaplin. Starsky and Hutch enter the case when the body of a derelict wino is discovered exactly as the killer described to Sue Anne. Sue Anne tries to deliver the extortion money in cooperation with the police. When Starsky and Hutch fail to catch the man he kills another innocent bystander in an effort to convinces Sue Anne that her stubbornness is getting people murdered. Starsky, disguised as a slick tango-artist, "Ramon," and Hutch, dressed as a Texan big spender, "Charlie McCabe," infiltrate the closed society of Ginger Evans' "dance world." The free wheeling Hutch allows himself to be set up by a terpsichorean temptress. She attempts to blackmail him, but, as things appear to be resolving according to plan, the not-so -- cleverly disguised sister of a former blackmail victim is uncovered.      Terry Nash, a family man, barely survives an apparent assassination at-tempt in which he sees his wife and infant daughter killed. In the hospital Nash's brother-in-law confides to him that his late wife's side of the family have been marked for gangland execution for years. Nash, whose memory about the attack is foggy, knows only two things...his wife and child are dead ...and he wants revenge. The man said to be responsible is a state's witness for a pending federal underworld investigation and he is in the protective custody of Starsky and Hutch. Nash positions himself in a hotel across the street from where the three are sequestered; he then phones multiple bomb threats into the hotel. As Starsky, Hutch and their state's witness are about to leave, another man identifying himself as an FBI agent redirects them away from their planned fire escape route out-through the building's front door.      Hoodlums and law abiding citizens alike are endangered when a Fagan-like character uses a mentally deranged teenager to inflict revenge in "Vendetta." The downtown section of town is being terrorized by Arty Riis, a scruffy character who specializes in coercion. With a scary Pied Piper skill, Arty surrounds himself with juvenile delinquent followers - his favorite being a teenage escapee from an institution for the criminally insane. Arty's young strong arm "protects" him from "double-crossers" with violent tactics, smashing one thug's kneecaps with a lead pipe, and in a fit of jealousy, murdering another of Arty's juvenile followers. When Starsky and Hutch cross Arty's path, they both get a sample of Arty's vengeance. Starsky's tires are slashed. Hutch gets a brick through his window, a dead rat in his refrigerator, a bomb in his car radio and, ultimately, his girlfriend is visited by the mentally deranged "hit kid." Details

Starsky and Hutch join the search, but each failure to catch the suspect leaves them without clues and wondering if, in fact, the man actually exists.      A chemist seeking revenge against Hutch, mistakenly administers a slow acting poison to Starsky in "A Coffin for Starsky." Starsky is forcibly awakened one night and administered a drug which, he is told, will kill him in 24 hours. The foremost authority on biochemical poisons refuses to see the declining Starsky, claiming that he can do nothing to save him. Hutch continues the investigation and turns up three suspects, but matters take a tragic turn when Starsky kills the most likely suspect. Unfortunately the man is probably the only one who could identify the poison administered. In shooting the suspect, Starsky has surely signed his own death warrant. Details

But Anton swears he sent the warnings after listening in on phone conversations in which the murders were planned. Realizing he has stepped on some dangerous toes, Dewey persuades Huggy to contact racketeer Lou Malinda, explain the mistake, return the money to Malinda and thus get Dewey off the hook. But Huggy gets mugged and is faced with an ultimatum from Malinda to get the money up or get killed. Details

     Starsky and Hutch investigate the murder of a beautiful ex-policewoman who left the force to become a go-go dancer in a sleazy dive after ending a romance with Starsky in "Lady Blue." Three months after breaking up with Starsky and supposedly leaving the police force, Helen Davisson is found dead, the victim of an obviously disturbed murderer. Investigation, indicates that Helen had turned to booze and low company in a joint where she worked. But word comes down from the Chief of Police that officer Davisson was working undercover to gather evidence against a brutal gang of jewel thieves. The piece of jewelry recalls the name of Ella, a girl he loved from afar in his high school woodshop class. When the killer makes a second attempt on Ella's life, Starsky and Hutch respond to the call, and recognize her immediately. Starsky risks his badge by taking her to his apartment to "dry out" and put the pieces of her life together. Ella hostilely resists Starsky's efforts to help her.
